Wearing a Milo

After joining your Milo to a group, snap the Milo into a Milo clip and mount it in a good location.

For most activities, we recommend using the included Pocket Clip, and mounting the Milo as high up and as close to your ears and mouth as possible.

There are 2 ways to mount your Milo:

  • Snap in your Milo to the Pocket Clip, then mount the Pocket Clip to your gear
  • Mount the Pocket Clip to your gear, then snap in the Milo to the Pocket Clip

To attach the Milo to the Pocket Clip, follow these steps:

Move the lock lever clockwise to the unlock position:
Snap in the Milo, allowing the magnets to guide the Milo into the correct position. After Milo is seated in the clip properly, move the lever counterclockwise to the lock position.

Positioning Milo for best performance

Here are some recommendations on where to mount the Milo based on the gear you may be wearing.

  • If your gear has a chest pocket, you can use the Pocket Clip to mount the Milo in that pocket. The clip supports both horizontal and vertical pocket openings
  • If you don’t have a chest pocket, you can use the Pocket Clip to mount the Milo on the collar of your jacket, shirt, and/or wetsuit

  • If you are wearing any sort of pack, including a personal floatation vest (PFV), backpack, or hydration pack, you can use the mount the Pocket Clip on your upper shoulder using the straps of the pack.

NOTE: For best performance, we recommend mounting the Milo on the side of your body that your head will be mainly facing during your activity.

Securing Milo with an attached lanyard

No matter which Milo clip you use or where you mount your Milo, always secure your Milo to your gear using the lanyard attached to your Milo.

Each Milo comes with 3 lanyards, the medium size one that is installed on your Milo, a small lanyard, and a longer lanyard. Depending on your gear, you may want to swap out the attached lanyard for one of the other lanyards.

To swap out the lanyards, simply undo the hoop on the installed lanyard, then before removing the installed lanyard, use its small loop to pull the new lanyard loop through the attach point on the Milo.
