If you experience an issue with charging a Milo, please contact us right away so we can get that unit replaced.  You can contact the Milo team in several ways: Fill out our online Support Request, or DM us via Facebook messenger or Instagram.

To avoid issues when charging Milo, we suggest you follow this guidance:

  • Always use the USB-C port plugs to avoid getting any dirt/sand/salt residue into that port that may cause issues with charging.
  • After any activity in water or where the Milo may have gotten wet (skiing, riding in the rain, splashed mud, etc) – we always recommend that you thoroughly rinse Milo under clean warm fresh water to clean away any dirt/sand/salt residue that is on the Milo.
      • When you rinse the Milo, please make sure to remove the USB-C port plug and rinse both the plug and port  off as debris may have gotten through the plug and into the port.
    • If you don’t have time to rinse off the Milo properly right after your activity and it ends up drying without being cleaned, you should still clean it, however you may need to use a small brush/toothbrush to gently clean the USB-C port plug and port/connector to make sure that debris does not contaminate the charging port/connector.
  • After you properly rinse and clean the Milo; Please allow it to completely air dry in a clean location.
  • If you store the Milo in a bag, please make sure the bag is clean and doesn’t have dirt/salt/sand/snow/etc. debris that can contaminate the USB-C port or plugs.
    • Once the Milo has properly been dried, you can charge the Milo.
    • We always recommend that you use the USB-C charging cable that comes with your Milo and a high quality USB charging adapter.

By following this guidance, you will enjoy your Milo for years to come.
