How long does the battery last?

Length of a typical battery charge

Like with any battery, how long a charge lasts depends on how you use the device. Under typical activity use, you can expect a full day of speaking with your group.

If you are concerned about the battery charge, here are some things to keep in mind:

  • If you use Volume Boost mode, the charge may last a shorter time because of the higher power used. That’s why we recommend turning off volume boost when you no longer need it.
  • Keeping Milos muted when not talking can make a difference in some contexts.
  • In very cold temperatures, lithium batteries can lose their charge faster than in normal temperatures.
  • Remember that you can charge Milo on the go while it’s in use with a portable charger.
    • If you don’t want to use a battery while on the go, know that Milo recharges fast. You can charge a Milo from 0% to 70% in about 40 minutes. That means if you top up the charge from low during a half-hour lunch break, you’re in good shape for the rest of the day.

Milo battery life expectancy

Milo integrates a high-quality lithium polymer battery. The number of charge cycles before the battery capacity becomes significantly reduced is very high, so you can expect multiple years of very active use before the battery capacity is noticeably degraded.
