Getting started with Milo

Milo was designed to eliminate the challenges of configuring and using traditional walkie-talkies, so you can focus on what matters: easy communication during your group activities.

To quickly get on your adventure, check out this short video:

1. Power on

Press-and-hold the Power button to turn on your Milo.

When you power up your Milo for the first time, you hear an interactive tutorial explaining how to use the key features and customize your Milo.

2. Name your Milo

Each Milo comes with a pre-assigned default name. You’re free to use that name of course. But for the best Milo experience, we recommend that you record a custom name during the setup process to personalize your Milo. To do this, when prompted, press-and-hold the Milo button, say the name you want, then release the Milo button when you are done. Milo will replay the name so you can hear how it sounds, if it sounds ok, click the Milo button to accept and continue.

3. Connect to create a group

After you have powered on all your Milos, you are ready to create your Milo group.

1. Hold 2 to more Milos near each other

2. On each Milo, simultaneously press-and-hold the Milo Group button — that’s the long side button — until you hear each Milo say “Connected.”

You can connect additional Milos to the group the same way: press-and-hold the Group button on both an already grouped Milo and the Milo you want to add.
